چکیده
Aim Connectivity is vital to the resiliency of populations environmental change and stochastic events, especially for cold-adapted species as Arctic alpine tundra habitats retract climate warms. We examined influence past current landscapes on genomic connectivity in galliformes a critical first step assess vulnerability Alaska ptarmigan grouse change. hypothesize that mosaic physical features habitat within promoted formation genetic structure across species. Location Alaska, United States America. Taxa Ptarmigan Grouse (Galliformes: Tetraoninae). Methods collected double digest restriction-site-associated DNA sequence data from six (N = 13–145/species) sampled multiple ecosystems up ~10 degrees latitude. Spatial was analysed using methods reflect different temporal scales: (1) principal components analysis identify major trends distribution variation; (2) maximum likelihood clustering analyses test presence groupings; (3) shared co-ancestry contemporary relationships (4) effective migration surfaces regions deviate null model isolation by distance. Results Levels varied (?ST =0.009–0.042). Three general patterns emerged: east-west partition located near Yukon-Tanana uplands; north-south split coinciding with Range northern group Brooks Range. Species-specific were observed; not all landscape barriers gene flow contrasts detected at Main conclusions Within galliformes, coincide physiographic highlight importance ecological shaping how diversity arrayed landscape. Lack concordance spatial indicates behaviour affinities play key roles driving contrasting structure.

Navigation Tools for Text Embedded within Complex-Shaped Area Features and Meandering Linear Features
Abstract: By presenting textual information within the space of corresponding images, the concept of DUAL-USE OF IMAGE SPACE (DUIS) eases the mental integration of textual and pictorial information. This paper applies the DUIS approach which was initially developed for area features to linear features. Moreover, we enhance the DUIS approach with new tools to navigate within embedded texts: The ...
متن کاملGenomic landscape of meningiomas.
Meningiomas are one of the most common adult brain tumors. For most patients, surgical excision is curative. However, up to 20% recur. Currently, the molecular determinants predicting recurrence and malignant transformation are lacking. We performed retrospective global genetic and genomic analysis of 85 meningioma samples of various grades. Copy number alterations were assessed by 100K single-...
متن کاملModeling Multiscale Landscape Structure within a Hierarchical Scale-space Framework
In this paper we describe a novel integration of Hierarchy Theory and Linear Scale-Space for automatically visualizing, and modeling dominant landscape structures at multiple scales. Specifically, we describe 3D methods for modelling and visualizing landscape scale-domains by using scale-space events as critical domain thresholds. This novel approach provides the capacity to automatically defin...
متن کاملGenomic landscape of liposarcoma
Liposarcoma (LPS) is the most common type of soft tissue sarcoma accounting for 20% of all adult sarcomas. Due to absence of clinically effective treatment options in inoperable situations and resistance to chemotherapeutics, a critical need exists to identify novel therapeutic targets. We analyzed LPS genomic landscape using SNP arrays, whole exome sequencing and targeted exome sequencing to u...
